Magniva is a product of the company Lallemand (Canada), which has many years of experience in the production of inoculants. MAGNIVA PLATINUM 3 is a forage inoculant specifically made for grasses and legumes with over 30% dry matter with low sugars and fermentation challenges and aerobic stability and with feeding flexibility after 15 days.
The inoculant contains two types of functional bacteria (homofermentative and heterofermentative). One is the Lallemand patented bacterial strain Lactobacillus Hilgardii CNCM I-4785 (75 000 CFU/g feed) and the other is L.buchneri NCIMB 40788 (75 000 CFU/g feed). The unique combination of these two bacterial technologies plus enzymes – providing a new approach to forage management for crops such as grasses and legumes – helps preserve silage faster, prevents heating and spoilage, and increases digestibility. Aerobic stability is achieved after only 15 days of fermentation. Dry matter losses and discarded forage are reduced.
Another active bacterial strain contained in the inoculant is P. pentosaceus NCIMB 12455 (100 000 CFU/g feed), which accelerates the initial fermentation, provides good acidification and preserves the silage well with retention of maximum nutritive value. The enzyme in the inoculant β-Glucanase (5 750 IU/g feed EC 3.2.1.6), helps to release sugars from the forage to ensure rapid fermentation. Xylanase (30 000 IU/g feed EC 3.2.1.8) – improves digestibility of feed.
The product is certified for organic production.
It is diluted in small amounts of water and does not precipitate.
