Rumix³ is used in ruminant farming.
The product provides a corn silage or grass silage based ration for dairy and beef cows and contributes to improved feed efficiency by improving the nutritional quality of the ration and digestibility of the forage.
The effects and advantages seen in growing:
- Animal health and immunity
- More stable rumen pH – the pH of the complete ration increases by 1 to 2 points, approaching the optimum rumen pH (6.2)
- Better yield of bugs
- Better survival
- Better digestion, more homogeneous manure
- Savings and production efficiency
- Improves gross margin on feed costs – Reduces concentrate purchases
- Increase production + 1 kg milk standard
- Better persistency, more milk in mid and late lactation
- Cell levels drop, sign of better digestive health
- Risk of limited acidosis, maintain milk butterfat and protein levels
A cow ingesting 16kg of dry matter from grass and maize silage per day ingests 1.5kg of acids that reach her rumen, or the equivalent of 30 litres of vinegar per day. This results in significant drops in gut pH, which punishes bacterial activity, particularly the cellulolytic flora that digest plant fibres.
The formulation Rumix³ , mixed in the ration, neutralizes acids (lactic and acetic) to form ammonium salts (lactates and acetates). The ration is then alkalinised and the associated buffering agents maintain a stable pH.
Developed by VITALAC nutritionists, Rumix³ is a powder formula composed of conditioned urea, buffering agents, natural enzymes and yeast. Rumix³ meets safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Incorporation of Rumix³ into the ration must be done with a mixer for perfect homogenisation
The ration must contain silage with an appropriate moisture content for optimum results.
The use of Rumix³ is strictly limited to dairy cows, suckler cows and fattening cattle.
